Early hibernation

It's been quite cold here this weekend and I've refused to put the heating on (come on, it's only the first weekend of September!!) so I've been bunkering under a blanket getting my knitting on, wearing a rather fetching woolly socks and leg warmers combo. I think my favourite thing about these colder days and nights is the cosiness of burning candles, dimming the lights and curling up with Little Mo on the sofa. I'm ready Autumn, bring it on.

  6. aino: thank you :)

ola: it's so simple (I only learnt how to knit at christmas so at the moment I can only do flat square things)! basically you cast on an uneven amount of stitches (on this scarf it's 23), then you start by knitting the first stitch knit, then the next one purl and then you just keep alternating the two for the whole row. easy and you always start with a knit on the first stitch on every row. I'm using 15 mm needles with quite a big yarn, the scarf will probably be about 190 cm's long when it's finished - it's huge!! good luck!
