I went so far as to switch off other electrical appliances, including the fan, and woke up from my 'Earth Hour Nap' 45 mins later, hot and sticky... sigh... the drawbacks of living in a tropical country...;p
I love that you got all those Iitala candle holders in so many different colours. It looks cool!
yes, we had the candles lit south of the river! and this year we could see that the houses of parliament took part as well. last year i was a bit surprised that so few large buildings in london switched off their lights.
jomenvisst! släckte lamporna och gick hemifrån, men platsen jag besökte ville inte släcka sina lampor, bara se ifall andra gjorde det (?) :)
yes we did too! i washed dishes and then we also cooked in the candle light. it needed quite many candles;)
We participated too and it seems that many did in our neck of the woods. I live in Ontario, Canada, and it was reported that province-wide, energy consumption dropped by 15% during earth hour. It is nice to see when initiatives take off like that.
I did, but I must say that it was hard to resume some comissioned drawings by the candle lights...
love candle lights.. looks perfect
I should light candles more often. It always feels so nice! We were in the middle of cooking...but then we turned all the lights off to eat, and we watched a movie in semi-dark.
We turned everything off and had a game of Up Jenkins and a lot of laughs
Looks really comfy :) And for a good cause!I wasn't home Saturday, but I think I'll do my share this week anyway!
yeap ;)from mexico.
I felt terrible when I remembered a couple of hours later. Then it was too late :(
We went for a long walk with the dog in Malmö, Sweden. So yes./Mia
i did! but it didn't last one hour. i love the first candle shot and how the color of the glass comes across in the dark.
jag är hemma i sverige en vecka o här var det överallt, på mjölpaket i debatten... men i england hörde jag inte mycket om det... vi släckte allt utom TV'n fusk... men bra att det väcker debatt!
I couldn't be bothered and btw candels release more CO2 than power plants

Here in Spain, in small towns has hardly had an impact the Earth Hour. It was a gesture of solidarity with the planet but I think that it should not be a single day and we should take more responsibility with the consumption of energy every day!! ...As always,I love your photos!!
vi gjorde det också! mys!
