Met up with the hubby for some lunch at Mildred's and then had a look round the shops. It such a privilege to be able to wander around town on a weekday away from the crowds. After years of going "Do you remember Barbapapa?" to friends and them looking at me nonplussed it's great to see them popping up in the "cool" shops now. The last picture shows our combined loot. I got some piano music books and I had a slow go at "Strangers in the night" when we got back. So excited!!
looks like such a nice day! good loot!
It looks like as if it has been a good day and I am very impressed that you can already "play" Strangers In The Night"!
ReplyDeleteDo you still play the guitar? Remember you took some lessons with Deborah here in Lasalle? You played well...
aha, a nice blog. it just stroke me that i had the same idea of music some time ago, but it was with a violin. i had to rent one. and when i left the city i had to give it back. so soemehow i did not find the way back to it. i just reminded me of that. what a funny looking book to start with. greet you from helsinki
ReplyDeleteYAH barbapapa...got to stickers of mama on the back of my mac...haha...
ReplyDeleteGreat day you had...
Where are my glasses??? What is the green thing...???
joji55: I can't play it all the way through yet but it's fun trying! and no, can't play the guitar anymore, I guess once you learn something new your brain let's go of something old. or something like that :)
ReplyDeleteola: wow, the violin! now that's impressive! that's one instrument you have to play for years before it's sound decent right? unless one's a natural! yep, that book is funny looking, it's for kids, hence the little monsters!
fruenswerk: it's Mr Toast, he's a life-size piece of plastic toast... he's waving hello from the top of our fridge now! check him out here: http://theimaginaryworld.com/page3.html
ReplyDeletehello mr toast and Famapa...have a wonderful weekend playing with your loot.
