Could this be...

... the most mundane posting in the history of blogging? Maybe. I watched the hubby repair our blinds (and saving us a small fortune in the process) and my contribution was to document it. Most people wouldn't find this sort of thing picture-worthy but I just thought the light was too good to ignore. Have a great weekend whatever you're doing!

What's on our walls

I was tagged by Mette and this is some of it, although there's a lot of framed and un-framed things that haven't been hung yet... I think I might have to do an update one day. Just remembered that there are some more here. I tag: girl ferment, emma and kiddet (hanna). Happy Friday!

Good wood

After having being couped up indoors for a week resting I finally got to go out for a lovely walk. The hubby doesn't usually want to go for walks but as he had jetlag to beat he was more than happy to come along. These woods are near where we live and I love them so much. Hardly anyone was around so I finally got to have a go at the giant swing. It was like being a kid all over again. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Neck chic

I just have to show you this collar that I got given for my birthday, fun isn't it? It changes a regular plain t-shirt or jumper into something much more exciting in two seconds flat. And I think I can deal with the fact that the hubby thinks I look like Lord Blackadder... at least I'll keep warm right?

Early hibernation

It's been quite cold here this weekend and I've refused to put the heating on (come on, it's only the first weekend of September!!) so I've been bunkering under a blanket getting my knitting on, wearing a rather fetching woolly socks and leg warmers combo. I think my favourite thing about these colder days and nights is the cosiness of burning candles, dimming the lights and curling up with Little Mo on the sofa. I'm ready Autumn, bring it on.

Back in the day

Time for a cross-processed flashback! It's so grey and dreary here in Londontown right now that I have to inject myself with these colour shots or I might go colour blind soon. I think these are from '97-'00, from some of my Lomo days in LA, Stockholm and London. Jeez, time flies! Hope you all have a brightly coloured weekend ;)

Oh and much love to my cousin who's getting married today in Stockholm, so sad that I can't be there, have a great day kusinvitamin!

Yesterday's treats

1. Getting this shot of Little Mo.
2. Making my favourite sandwich for lunch (smoked mackerel with creamed horseradish and apple slices soaked in lime).
3. Watching a few Laurel & Hardy films.

Thank you for your well wishes, I feel a lot better now and reading your comments made me feel even better! Happy Friday everyone!

Resting

I fell ill on Monday, which also happened to be the same day my hubby left for a week long work-trip, so for the last couple of days I've stayed with my brother and sister-in-law who've looked after me. I'm back home now and my sister is coming to stay and keep me company for the next few days. All of this has made me realise how important family and friends are in times of need and that we shall all cherish the people we love and are loved by. I might not be posting as much as usual over the next few days as I need to rest, but I know what I'm like... I won't be able to stay away for long ;)

A weekend in two halves

The Great British Summer of 2008 was up to it's old tricks again this weekend. On Saturday it was boiling hot and on Sunday it rained so heavily that the roads turned into rivers for a brief while. The only thing to do was to go with the flow, a short stroll in the park and an afternoon in the garden on Saturday, then lunch indoors with the obligatory treat of tea and cakes on Sunday. I hope autumn will be less schizophrenic...
