Alphabet Street

Some more shots from my Yashica T5. It wasn't a terribly exciting roll I must say, so these will be the last ones from it. I took these around Old Street just after I met up with Melanie for the first time (see how time slows with film...). She shoots a lot of her stuff with a Yashica T4, so I dusted my T5 off to see what it could do (I think I last used ten years ago). Anyway, on Melanie's recommendation I used a 400 ISO roll of Lomography film which in my view makes regular film almost look cross-processed. I must get more different kinds of film to experiment with, it's such fun to see the differences. What's your favourite film to shoot with?

  1. how exciting! some of my favourite films are kodak portra - both 400 and 800 - kodak ektar 100 and kodak elite chrome 200 and fuji provia 400 slide films. my absolute all time hands down favourite is kodak ektachrome 64 slide film but it's rarer than hen's teeth these days although it's possible to get the indoor version of it from the lomography shop. i'm excited to see some more of your film shots!

  2. I love these F !

For film I had a crush on kodacolor 400 or 200 that I bought in Berlin, bright and pale at the same time. Lately it has been a mix of Portra 160VC or Kodak Elite Chrome 100 for cross-processed film. Georges died but I have a new camera today, we'll try some Portra in the afternoon !

  3. I love these too! I am getting up the courage to shoot with film again too. I used to like Tmax 400 Black and white, but I just may try what you used. Have a nice day!

My current fave is Ferrania Solaris - nothing fancy, but great results. :)
