First of all I want to say thank you for all your comments on the previous post; we are touched and delighted by your well wishes! The last few days have been amazing, Omar is such a content baby and is both sleeping and feeding really well; we kind of feel like we've hit the jackpot! I can't explain what an amazing experience becoming a parent is; I really had no idea how intensely one can feel love or how soppy one can get ;)
He is simply beautiful.

so true - just a few days ago I had to stop watching "life" (that awesome nature program on bbc right now) as I was getting too tearful as in "what an amazing world we live in!". I also find I can't watch the news anymore as in "what a horrible world we live in!". hmmm.

alice: she was a bit grumpy and shy to start with but she seems fine now. she tries to sit on my lap whilst I feed him and doesn't seem to mind... phew!
