Here are some more pictures from Pick Me Up as promised. That's Mr Robert Ryan himself in the fifth picture; he was working on a big piece for an upcoming exhibition, as he drew an assistant did all the cutting out. What a fiddly job! I wonder if anyone ever cuts the wrong bit out? Anyway, there were lots of goodies to look at and had I had a bottomless wallet I would have come home with loads of stuff... never mind! Have a great weekend y'all!
Get some of the posters from here:
ryantown looks amazing!ReplyDelete
and i'd love to try a fiddly paper-cut-out. as long as i had lines to follow i think i would be right in my element!
Wow...I know someone who does the same kind of thing... :)ReplyDelete
Yummy. These pictures made my day. Helsinki is all gray and windy today and I´ve been missing the colors a lot.ReplyDelete
Who did the surreal figures in the picture you named "blocks"? I looked through most of the links on the artists list page but couldn't seem to find these images.ReplyDelete
xha: my mistake, I forgot to put a link up to the peepshow collective. the blocks are by andrew rae.ReplyDelete
I liked pick me up too, and which I hadn't gone quite so near to closing. Yes, given limitless funds and I could have left with quite a few pieces!ReplyDelete
